Hi, I'm Megan Miller and I teach 8th grade civics. I have been teaching in Douglas for 20 years and really enjoy teaching in the 8th grade. When I am not teaching, I am at home spending time with my family. I am married with three elementary aged children. During our summer months we enjoy traveling to new places. I also enjoy reading a good book, and enjoying time at the beach. I love a good Italian meal and can never resist peanut butter ice cream🍦 I am looking forward to a great year ahead!
Hi, I am Kathleen Hayes. I teach 8th grade English and this is my 22 year in Douglas. I have also taught 6th grade ELA in Douglas and grades 2, 3, and 4. I have been married for over 30 years and am a mom of four grown children. In my spare time I enjoy exercising by taking long walks and yoga or strength training classes. I love a good book and spending time at the beach whenever I can. Chocolate is my weakness, but I love a good salty snack also! I am looking forward to a great year!
Hi, I am Stephanie Tamelleo and I teach 8th grade mathematics. I have been teaching in the Douglas school system since 1998 in grades 6, 7, 8 and 10, but the majority has been in the 8th grade. Over the past 14 years, I have enjoyed being the 8th Grade Class advisor. As a college professor, I also teach a variety of mathematics courses in the evenings. I am married and have two grown daughters. We have two cuddly lap dogs who love to be involved in everything we do. In my spare time, I enjoy DIY projects, game shows, and the arts. I am looking forward to spending time with all of you this year!
My name is Shannon Bronzo and I am your 8th grade Science teacher. I have been teaching in Douglas for 20 years. In addition to teaching 8th grade, I have also spent time teaching in the 5th and 6th grades. You may also see me at the front desk at the Whitin Community Center where I have worked for 12 years. I have 2 amazing adult sons. As a family we spend a lot of time together at concerts, we love live music. I also enjoy hiking, traveling, yoga, weight lifting, and I believe tie dye is an art form. I am looking forward to a great year.
