What are Virtual BreakoutEDU Games?

Virtual BreakoutEDU games are online breakout games that are designed around the 4 C Super Skills: Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Creativity. Virtual BreakoutEDU games are designed to enrich learning in academic areas and are based on academic level. Each game title has a number next to it indicating suggested grade level of academic content.

How do you play Virtual BreakoutEDU Games?

Virtual BreakoutEDU games are ready to play right away. Start by clicking the Digital BreakoutEDU tab at the top and then scrolling to select a game to start. Once on the game page begin looking for clues. Helpful Hint: Click on everything that is clickable. It may or may not be helpful, but it’s worth a look. Other clue types include anything in bold or underlined, Google Apps files, hidden text or pics, and anything else! The games are designed for critical thinking and will not be completely straightforward. Also, there are no hints and no answer keys. Try playing along with your students to show them that it's not always easy. You can have students compete against each other in small groups or work collaboratively as a whole class to try to "breakout". The choice is yours.

How do you "breakout"?

In order to "breakout" successfully you need to find the clues to help you answer the questions in the google form. These questions can include directional locks, color locks, number locks, word locks, and any other types of locks. Once you have put in the correct answer for a lock, the field for that question will no longer be red, and the red error message will go away.
