（授賞理由）技術科教育において、革新的かつ国際的な視野を持った教育を実践した。海外との連携、特に「ASIASTEAMCAMP」のような国際イベントの開催においては、生徒たちに国際協力と多文化間の理解の機会を提供。アジアの生徒たちが集まったロボットコンテストや無動力の巨大飛行機の作成などSTEM／STEAMのプロジェクトに取り組んでいく内容は、国際交流の場となっている。既存の枠組みにとらわれず、自ら海外に出向き、教育関係者との新しいつながりを構築する姿勢を持つ。その他、市民講座で小学生を対象にブリッジ・コンテストのワークショップをしたり、教員免許講習でも発信し、教員としての社会的使命を果たしている。

(Reason for Award) Recognized for implementing innovative and internationally-oriented education in the field of technology. Through initiatives like ASIA STEAM CAMP, Mr. Numata has provided students with opportunities to engage in international cooperation and intercultural understanding. These activities include hosting international events such as robotics contests and large, unpowered aircraft-building projects, involving students from across Asia in STEM/STEAM projects. His proactive approach to forming connections with international educators—often traveling abroad to establish new partnerships—demonstrates a commitment beyond conventional boundaries. Additionally, he has organized community workshops, such as bridge-building contests for elementary students, and contributed to teacher licensing programs, fulfilling his social mission as an educator.
