I have attached a guide that shows you how to log in and award points on the website/app. The website is http://www.rcahousepoints.com and the mobile app is RCA House Points. If you need help setting up your account, send an email to either Krystal Douglas or me. Your username will be your Doral email address. If you don't know your password or can't remember it, click "Forgot Password" and instructions should be sent to your Doral inbox.
Also attached is our official House Points scale. We award points for lots of different events. Some events are worth more than others. Check out the scale to see what we have, and pay close attention to the MS/HS divide. Events count for more points at the HS level than the MS level. Remember that points can be awarded to individual students OR entire houses.
On the website, you can also access a screen that shows the current standings. If you need to have something displayed in your room as kids are walking in to class, this screen is always a great option because you will have lots of students wanting updates on who's winning all year long.
If you need any assistance in figuring out how to integrate house points into your daily instruction, feel free to reach out and set up a time with me. I do instructional coaching during 5th and 6th period, so I can even come in and show you how to do it with your students if you're interested.
And as always, please direct any house-related questions to Krystal, Nicci, or me.
Thanks again for a great start to the year!
Matt
