Before a comic can get paid, they will need to complete this form.
We use the information for our records and to share social media channels with our guests after the show. This form will also add the performer's name to our DTC Admin system so we can add them to our show lineups. Comics will only need to complete it once. You may also add performer info manually as shown in the tutorial above.
Below are the current rates for each role. Keep in mind that if a comic runs their allotted time, we still pay them the same rate that was originally negotiated.
These rates are standard, however we want to make sure comedians have rates that are comparable to what other local clubs are paying.
Please talk to Drew if you would like to talk about raising the rates for comics.
Our standard rate for hosting a show is $50.
If you're a producer and you host and/or book, you're still eligible for the payment - so be sure to add yourself to the show lineup.
Our standard rate for booking a show is $25. If the Host is the person who booked the show, then they would earn both the Hosting and Booking fee for a total of $75.
We want rates for comedians to be comparable to what your local clubs are paying. Here is the standard rate for local performers:
You may find yourself needing some assistance.
Associate Producer: This role is meant for someone who is running a show you organized in your absence. You may have an emergency or an opportunity you can't refuse emerge and may need to have someone run the event you setup. The Associate Producer pay rate is subtracted from your total producer pay.
Show Assistance: This role is meant for someone who came to the show to help you with setting up, checking in guests, cleaning up, etc.
Photographer: If you have a really great venue that you think would make for some great photos we can use for our website and/or ads, then you may want to hire a photographer to come out to the show. We would request photos that capture the audience, the environment, and the full "feel" of the show. We don't just want close-up headshots of the comics performing. Please send photos to photos@donttellcomedy.com.
Producer pay is calculated through the following formula:
Gross Revenue - Comic Pay - Ads (Cap at 10% of Gross Rev) - Venue Fees - Other Show Expenses = Net Revenue
Producer Pay = Net Revenue * 25% ($100 minimum payout)
For each producer payment, you will be emailed a breakdown of your payout.
Once you've completed your comic lineups for reimbursements, you'll receive a Producer payment through Dots. This payment typically goes out once all comic payments and show expenses have been accounted for.
Payments are usually sent by the Monday following your show, if you have finalized all lineup and show reimbursements by then.
You will receive an email and/or SMS with your payout link and payment breakdown.
