Meet the Teacher
Mrs. Zarama
My name is Alma Zarama and I am a 4th grade teacher at M. Rivas School of the Arts. I have been teaching at this wonderful school for 13 years. I hold a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley with a current certification in Bilingual Education EC-4 and Language Arts 4-8. At this time, I am currently enrolled at U.T.R.G.V. for a Masters in Teacher Leadership. This will be my second year as Master Teacher at my campus. I believe that effective learning requires collaboration between the community, school, parents, and students grounded in mutual respect and trust.
