A message from the Chief Editor of the journal ‘Source’

-Dr. Uma Roy Bhowmik

I am honoured to be the Chief Editor of the journal ‘Source’, a peer reviewed journal of humanities and social sciences. For over ten years, the journal has been a beacon of insightful research from multiple disciplines. It has long been one of the most influential journals in the West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya. The journal maintains the highest level of ethical integrity, ensuring consistency in the field of academics and research. My desire is for the journal to continue to excel and insightfully build for the future to provide the greatest platform for sharing outstanding research and insight of the authors. My primary goal as editor in chief is to ensure that the journal ‘Source’ remains flexible in attending to the rapidly shifting academic world, while also maintaining and intensifying the high standards of academic excellence for which the journal is known. By steadily introducing initiatives to the editorial and review processes, I believe that the journal will further evolve as a flagship for communicating research and successfully meeting the growing needs of its audience. I sincerely hope that all researchers and academicians will eagerly access the journal, as both submitters and readers, for the insightful and stimulating research work that will shape our future and lead the way to extraordinary discoveries.

A message from the Chief Patron of the journal ‘Source’

-Fr. Bivan Rodriques Mukhim

It is a great privilege and honour to be a part of ‘Source’, a peer reviewed journal that promotes interdisciplinary research in Humanities and Social Sciences of Tura Don Bosco College. I have gone through all the earlier editions and found it as an inspiration and an opportunity for the scholars to express their views through their writings. ‘Source’ with a mission to make “Don Bosco College” a name to reckon within the academic fraternity by giving a strong impetus to creating an environment of knowledge, application and holistically inspiring scholars to become leaders of tomorrow. I believe that the rigours of the contemporary world will require knowledgeable professionals who could withstand the dynamics of the fast-changing world. Hence “Making a Difference in the Life of Every Research Scholar” is the Priority of the journal.

We look forward to a deep engagement with other institutions that has a similar mission and vision to publish articles, research papers that will benefit the society. It has been a constant challenge at Don Bosco College, Tura to help generate ideas that will benefit society, and to educate and train people to work in fields where they will be valued both for their knowledge, and for their ability to communicate and solve problems. ‘Source’ a peer reviewed journal promotes interdisciplinary research in Humanities and Social Sciences of the College is one such opportunity for transformation.

The Management and the Faculty Members of the College work collaboratively across all spheres to ensure that every student/research scholar has the best possible opportunity and experience. In the journey, there will be tough times and there will be easier ones, but we shall work hard with no regrets, and be victorious. I wish that this journal brings out the best from everyone.

Thank you!
