The TAG's Process is dependent upon the Business Case for Tool Acquisition process. Business cases requiring prioritization by TAG must first be supported by a senior council to be considered by TAG.
The TAG evaluates and scores proposals using a rubric. The rubric has been developed to meet the following goals:
Outcome Goals: Greatest Institutional Value, Strong Strategic Alignment, and Improved Resource Efficiency
Process Goals: Greater Consistency and Enhanced Transparency
If the proposal fits any of the following four criteria, it will bypass the Proposal Scoring Process due to its non-discretionary nature.Â
Governing Board / Executive Leadership requirement/directive - Mandate from the Governing Board, Chancellor, etc. (e.g., Guided Pathways)
Information Security requirement - Necessary to avoid significant privacy or security risk of sensitive or confidential District data being compromised or is at risk of being compromised (e.g., CloudLock implementation)
Compliance requirement - Necessary to comply with legal, regulatory, or policy requirements (e.g., Web re-work to comply with National Federation of the Blind concerns)
Core Technical / Operational requirement - Needed to avoid negative direct and/or significant impact on core/foundational services (e.g., PeopleSoft SIS 9.2 upgrade, system patches and updates)
