Special Medical-Only Open Enrollment
Opens 4/15/2024 - Closes at 5 pm 4/30/2024,
Effective 7/1/2024
Medical plan benefit premiums are increasing effective July 1, 2024. MCCCD is providing employees the option to update medical enrollment elections with a special medical-only open enrollment period.
You can add or drop medical coverage as well as switch medical plans
You can add or remove dependents from your plan
If you do not make changes, your current election will remain in place
Changes elected during this Medical-Only Open Enrollment window become effective on July 1, 2024.
July 11, 2024: First paycheck date with changes if you have benefits applied to 26 paychecks
September 6, 2024: First paycheck date with changes if you only have benefits applied to 18 paychecks
No action is needed to begin receiving the NEW Medical Premium Subsidy Credit of $20 per month through the remainder of the 2024 Plan Year. You will receive this automatically if you meet all of the following conditions:
You are active and benefits-eligible,
You are enrolled in a MCCCD Medical Plan, and
* You are Enrolled as the employee and not as a dependent on another employee's plan
Your base compensation is less than $63,000 on April 1, 2024
Open Enrollment Window Extended!
ADP, Inc. notified us late Tuesday afternoon on April 9 that they are bringing down our MyBenefits Portal site for maintenance from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturday, April 20; it will not be available to make and confirm elections. We know this enrollment period is important to our employees and their families, so we are extending the enrollment period through 5:00 pm on Tuesday, April 30, to ensure everyone has one full weekend with access to make any updates.
