Founder and CEO, Doc Wright’s Educational Services
Dr. Shalene Wright is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Doc Wright’s Educational Services, established in 2001. With nearly two decades of dedicated experience in both general and special education, Dr. Wright has consistently championed inclusive, high-quality teaching and learning for all students.
Dr. Wright began her career as a General Education Teacher before transitioning to an Education Specialist, where she supported students with mild to severe disabilities across various instructional settings. As an Educational Consultant and Advocate, she partners with schools and families to optimize special education services to best meet students’ unique needs. Her extensive background equips her to lead with a focus on equity, inclusive practices, and student-centered outcomes.
In addition to founding her agency, Dr. Wright has held leadership roles including Director of Student Services (Special Education and English Language Development), School Principal, Assistant Principal, Instructional Specialist, Instructional Coach, and Classroom Teacher. In these roles, she has provided extensive professional development, driven curriculum improvement, and implemented restorative justice practices to foster positive and inclusive school cultures. Dr. Wright is recognized for her visionary leadership, deep commitment to educational equity, and unwavering belief in the potential of every student.
Outside of her professional work, Dr. Wright enjoys traveling to explore new cultures and destinations. She values quality time with her family, often embarking on outdoor adventures together. Whether hiking, camping, or simply enjoying nature, she finds joy and rejuvenation in the great outdoors.
