Head of the scientific and technological cooperation network Institute for Science, Innovation, and Technology for Industry 4.0 (INCITE INDÚSTRIA 4.0) and the Extended Reality Lab for Industrial Innovation and Sustainable Production (XRIISP Lab). Currently, she is the Coordinating Professor of the NVIDIA AI Tech Center (CIMATEC NVAITC) and Coordinator of the Master's and PhD programs in Industrial Management and Technology (PPG GETEC) at CIMATEC. She has led over 40 applied research projects with major players such as FORD, Continental, HP, EMBRAER, Petrobras and SHELL, publishing 42 articles, 3 books, 19 book chapters, and more than 50 technical production assets, including one granted patent and 10 filed patents. She has supervised 19 PhD and Master's graduates, many of whom are industry collaborators with international co-supervision. She is a mentor on the Digital Transformation Committee of SAE Brazil and an advisor to the Singaporean startup CHiLX (ingrid.winkler@doc.senaicimatec.edu.br).
Leads the Computer-aided Engineering Labs, and the Digitalization Cluster with the Energy Research Institute @ NTU. He is also deputy director of NTU's Center of Augmented & Virtual Reality. He was Deputy Director of NTU's Institute for Media Innovation, Bioinformatics Research Centre, and Nanyang Center for Supercomputing and Visualization. His research interests include VR, AI, Robotics and their applications in healthcare, building & constructions, and education with funding support from Singapore’s National Research Foundation, Temasek Trust Funded Singapore Millennium Foundation, Ministry of Education, etc. He has co-invented 10 international patents and published 9 books (Springer) and over 200 technical articles in leading journals and peer-reviewed international conferences. He has organized more than 20 international conferences including the prestigious AI medical conference MICCAI'2022, IEEE conference ISMAR'2022, and 40th Annual Conference of ISAGA'2008 in Singapore. He has given near 50 keynote or invited speeches all over the world. He is an active promotor and practitioner for interdisciplinary research, international collaboration, industrial partnership, and innovative technopreneurship working in the intersection of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics, partnering with world class organizations including John Hopkins Medical School (USA), NVIDIA, University of Toronto (Canada), University of Utrecht (The Netherlands), University College London (UK), SAAB (Sweden), Singapore General Hospital, Surbana-Jurong Group (Singapore), etc. He was the former president of International Simulation and Gaming Association.
Full Professor at the Portuguese Open University (Universidade Aberta), where he lectures on research methods and programming, and a Senior Researcher at INESC TEC, being the coordinator of the INESC TEC Nucleus at Universidade Aberta. He is also Standards Liaison Co-Chair of the IEEE Education Society Technical Committee on Immersive Learning Environments, and Member of the Steering Committee and of the Circle of Scholars of the Immersive Learning Research Network. His main research interest is the use and development of immersive learning environments, which he pursues since 2000. He authored over two hundred papers, in journals, conferences, and as book chapters, having successfully supervised over ten doctoral theses and over thirty master dissertations. He led and participated in multiple research projects, funded by partners from industry, civil society, national government, and the European Union. Before pursuing an academic career, he was business and technical manager of a hardware import, distribution, and retail company, terminologist for the localization teams of Microsoft Office 97 and Oracle InterOffice, created a company for technical translations and software localization, was language quality specialist for IBM/Lotus, a coordinator of a Web development team for museums and heritage sites, of a software deployment team for nation-wide surgery waiting list management, and manager of a cooperative extension team fighting the digital divide in rural villages.
Assistant Instructional Professor at the Department of Computer & Information Science & Engineering. His research focuses on human-centered computing and human-computer interaction. This work includes investigating the intersection between tangible user interfaces, multi-touch, augmented, and virtual reality and examining Virtual 3D Social Spaces for enhanced learning environments. He is also interested in the maker movement, and how rapid digital prototyping can be brought to the masses. He has collaborated with multi-disciplinary teams of musicians, communication scientists, psychologists, and physicians both from the academy and the industry across multiple projects. Previously, Dr. Siqueira worked for Accenture for over ten years as a developer, team lead, manager, and consultant in diverse industries such as electricity, oil, and gas. He holds an MBA from Fudação Getulio Vargas in São Paulo, Brazil, and a Ph.D. in Human-Centered Computing from Clemson University.

His work focuses on Human–Computer Interaction, particularly the design and development of Augmented, Virtual, Mixed, and Extended Reality (AR/VR/MR/XR) systems for industrial applications. He also conducts research in Machine Learning, with emphasis on Natural Language Processing, data mining, and business intelligence. Professor at the Federal University of Reconcavo da Bahia (UFRB), in the Production Engineering program. She is a senior member of IEEE and a participant in the professional master’s program at UFBA. She has 12 years of experience in the metallurgical industry, with expertise in quality, production systems (lean), audits, and certifications. She is both an internal and external auditor for Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO/IEC 17025) and holds a Green Belt certification. During her master’s degree, she worked on implementing ISO standards in public services, notably contributing to the accreditation of the Northeast Biomaterials Laboratory (CERTBIO) under ISO/IEC 17025. In her doctoral research, she developed materials for use as biomaterials. She currently leads the Lean Healthcare research project focused on the healthcare sector in Bahia and the Digital Twin project in collaboration with CEPEDI in Ilhéus. She has received several distinctions, including the 2021 IEEE Undergraduate Teaching Award, 2021 and 2022 IEEE WIE Honorable Mention – Inspiring Member of the Year Award, and the 2021 Outstanding Branch Counselor and Branch Chapter Advisor Award. Since 2024, she has served as a member of the IEEE Region 9 Industry Engagement Committee and as Vice-Chair of the WIE Northeast Section.
Mechanical Engineer with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and a CNPq Technology Development Fellowship recipient. An Associate Professor at UFPR in the Department of Graphic Expression, he is also a Permanent Professor in the Design and Mechanical Engineering Graduate Programs (PPG Design and PPGEM). His research focuses on 3D technologies, particularly virtual reality and the metaverse. He teaches in various specialization programs (lato sensu), including Industry 4.0 Engineering, Renewable Energy, Maintenance Engineering 4.0, Three-Dimensional Experimentation, and an MBA in Management and Technology. Since 2019, he has coordinated UFPR’s 3D Technology Management specialization course. With over 10 years of experience in companies such as CNHi, Electrolux, Faurecia, Hettich, Bematech, and Denso, he has worked as a product engineer and engineering coordinator. Additionally, he is a partner and shareholder in a spin-off company in the virtual reality and metaverse field.
Holds a PhD in Medicine from the University of São Paulo, a Master's degree in Physics Applied to Medicine and Biology from the University of São Paulo; a degree in Physics - Full Degree from the University of Franca; and a degree in Data Processing from the University of Franca. He is currently an Associate Professor at the State University of Santa Cruz (UESC), Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Computational Modeling in Science and Technology and Vice-Director of the Center for Radiation Sciences and Technologies. He has experience in applied computing.
Conducts research on immersive technologies and multisensory integration with a particular focus on olfactory stimuli in virtual environments. Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Industrial Management and Technology at SENAI CIMATEC, her work proposes a model for evaluating the sense of presence in olfactory virtual reality. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and serves as a teaching assistant in the Virtual Immersive Environments course. She is also a research assistant at the Virtual Reality Laboratory at SENAI CIMATEC, where she contributes to projects exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence, extended reality, and user experience. In parallel, she works in a multinational company developing digital products focused on technological innovation and user-centered design. Her research interests include virtual and augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and human–computer interaction, particularly the design and evaluation of multisensory systems to enhance presence, immersion, and engagement in industrial applications.
