My philosophy of education is centered on creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom where every student feels valued, respected, and empowered to succeed. I believe that meaningful learning begins when students are encouraged to take academic risks, explore new ideas, and recognize their unique strengths and potential. By fostering a curiosity-driven environment that promotes questioning, investigation, and active engagement, I strive to help students develop a deep understanding of the world around them. I also believe that social-emotional learning is essential to academic and personal growth, as it builds confidence, empathy, resilience, and the lifelong habits needed to become thoughtful learners and compassionate individuals. Above all, my goal is to inspire every student to believe in their abilities, embrace challenges, and develop a genuine love of learning. 

Sixth grade is an exciting and transformative year, filled with engaging, challenging, and meaningful learning experiences that prepare students for a successful transition to middle school. Throughout the year, I strive to help students become confident, independent thinkers by strengthening their critical thinking skills through reading, writing, mathematics, and collaborative learning. Equally important, we focus on developing the organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills that students need to thrive both academically and socially. My goal is to foster a classroom where curiosity is encouraged, challenges are embraced, and every student feels empowered to take ownership of their learning. Above all, I want my students to leave sixth grade not only well prepared for middle school, but also with greater confidence in themselves, empathy for others, and a genuine excitement for learning.
