Beth Davis- 5th Grade Teacher
Educational Background and Professional Experience: This year marks my 12th year teaching! In 2010, I graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor's degree in Communication and a minor in Spanish. I always knew I wanted to be an educator so in 2013, I obtained my Bilingual Spanish Teaching Credential from California State University, San Marcos. Shortly after, I returned to school to get a Master's Degree in Multilingual Education. I certainly consider myself a lifelong learner! I have taught third grade for 5 years, second grade for 1 year, fourth grade for 1 year and this marks my fifth year in fifth!
In 2019, I fulfilled a life-long dream of mine to teach abroad. I taught at an International School in Bangkok, Thailand and had an incredible experience. Having this global perspective certainly shapes me as an educator and I love sharing my passion for international mindedness with my students.

I believe all students are capable of doing amazing things! I empower students to discover their personal strengths and unique abilities to shape our world in order to make it a better place for all. I believe in teaching the whole child with a strong emphasis on Social Emotional Learning. One of my favorite quotes about education is by Aristotle: "Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all."
Get ready fifth graders for an amazing year, exploring your personal greatness!
