Welcome to
Del Mar Hills Academy
Del Mar Hills Academy
I’m so excited to be teaching this year because I truly love working with children and watching them grow—not just academically, but as kind, confident, and curious people. I graduated from Chico State with my teaching credential and moved to San Diego right after, beginning my career in the San Ysidro School District, where I taught for 10 years. This is now my 12th year teaching in the Del Mar Union School District, and over the years I’ve taught kindergarten, first, second, third, and seventh grade.
I’m passionate about creating a classroom where students feel valued, seen, heard, and excited to learn. I believe that strong relationships are the foundation of deep and lasting learning. In my classroom, I weave in themes of love, kindness, and social-emotional growth so that every child feels supported and encouraged to take risks. I also love diving into academics—especially math, reading, and writing—and helping each student discover their strengths and grow with confidence.
