Sycamore Ridge School
Hello! My name is Miss Micah Greco, and I am thrilled to be teaching fifth grade at Sycamore Ridge! I look forward to collaborating alongside you and your students to make this the best year for our super Stallions.
Educational Background and Professional Experience:
Ever since I can remember, I have been passionate about supporting children's well-being and development, which inspired me to pursue a career in education. I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Child and Adolescent Development from California State University, Fullerton, and later received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential through the Azusa Pacific University System. During the 2025-2026 school year, I completed my student teaching within the district and had the opportunity to serve as a long-term guest teacher for both 4th and 5th grade classes at Sycamore Ridge. I am excited to bring those experiences into my first year as a classroom teacher and create a welcoming environment that builds student confidence, encourages curiosity, and fosters critical thinking. I look forward to a wonderful year together!

My educational philosophy is rooted in the belief that every child deserves to walk into a classroom where they feel safe, valued, and excited to learn. I believe each student brings unique strengths and experiences, and I strive to help them discover, develop, and celebrate those strengths in an environment where they feel confident being themselves, asking questions, and taking risks that foster growth.
In fifth grade, students will build independence, embrace challenges, enage in meaningful learning, and strengthen the skills they need to become positive members of our classroom and the broader community. They will take ownership of their learning as they grow into critical thinkers and empowered learners. Throughout the year, our classroom will be a supportive, engaging environment where both academic and personal growth are celebrated.
Outside the classroom, you can find me at the beach, reading a good book, baking, staying active, or traveling to spend time with my family. Most of my family lives out of state, with a few exceptions who live in Northern California, where I grew up. I deeply value every opportunity I have to spend time with them. I moved to San Diego just over a year ago and have been absolutely loving all the sunshine, farmers' markets, and beautiful outdoor experiences the area has to offer.
