Educational Background and Professional Experience
Ms. Colt is so excited to start the year at Sage Canyon! This will be her 11th year as a school counselor and she has worked with all grade levels. Elementary is her absolute favorite and she can't wait to get to know the students here.
Ms. Colt was born and raised in Austin, TX and has a BA from St. Edward's University, a MA in Advertising from the University of Texas (Hook'em!) and she received her MA and PPS credential in School Counseling from the University of LaVerne.

My philosophy of school counseling services involves building relationships with students within an environment of empathy and safety. I will advocate for all students’ success, regardless of their background or need. I will assist all students at Sage Canyon to reach their academic and social potential via individual counseling, group counseling and classroom SEL lessons.

My family loves to travel, hang out around San Diego, and my husband and I like to travel to a different state for a college football game at least once a season. Ms. Colt also has two cats and loves animals of all types.
