I believe that every child is capable of growth, success, and joy in learning when they are supported in a positive, inclusive environment. At the heart of my teaching philosophy is the commitment to positive reinforcement—celebrating effort, progress, and perseverance to build confidence and a love for learning.
Every student brings their own set of strengths, interests, and experiences into the classroom. I strive to meet each child where they are, providing the guidance, scaffolding, and encouragement they need to move forward at their own pace. I recognize that learning is not one-size-fits-all, and I am dedicated to creating differentiated experiences that reflect the unique potential of every student.
Equally important is the need for connection and belonging. I aim to cultivate a classroom community where every student feels seen, valued, and respected. When children feel safe and supported, they are more willing to take risks, explore new ideas, and engage meaningfully with others.
By fostering a warm, responsive environment that honors individual strengths and promotes positive relationships, I hope to nurture not just capable learners, but compassionate, confident, and curious individuals ready to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.

This will be my sixth year in DMUSD. Outside of school, I enjoy watching my kids play soccer, going to live music, and Olympic weightlifting.
