I believe that building a strong sense of community is essential to supporting every student’s growth, belonging, and confidence. This community extends beyond the classroom, as families play a vital role in their children’s education. I value open communication and a strong home-to-school partnership, knowing that students thrive when families and teachers work together to celebrate their strengths, understand their needs, and support their growth. By prioritizing social-emotional learning, I create a safe and inclusive environment where students can develop meaningful relationships, self-awareness, and resilience alongside academic skills. Through collaboration and engaging, hands-on experiences, students are encouraged to think deeply, share their ideas, learn from mistakes, and take ownership of their learning. I am especially passionate about fostering a love of reading and creating meaningful literacy experiences that help every child grow into a confident, joyful reader. Above all, I strive to recognize and ignite the genius within every student while ensuring each child feels known, valued, and capable.
A New Yorker turned West Coaster, I’ve brought my love for good bagels—and the occasional hint of my New York accent—with me to California. I’m sure my students will hear it sneak out when I remind them to grab their “waw-ter” bottles before heading outside! I enjoy staying active through soccer, hiking, and pickleball, and I love photography because it allows me to capture meaningful moments wherever I go. When I’m not teaching, I love flying back to New York to spend time with my family—especially my niece and nephew, who mean the world to me.
