HISTORY
The T.H. Valderrama library of St. Joseph School - La Salle accommodates and gives efficient services to both students and faculty members of the school, as well as administrators and members of the non-teaching faculty. The library was built in the year 1967 through the generosity of Doña Consuelo Vda. De Valderrama to honor the memory of her Husband Sir Grand Knight Don Tranquilino Valderrama, an exponent of Christian education for the poor. The library extended its services in the night school since 1982.
The Library is a separate building that could comfortably seat 10% of the student population. Last 2011, the three-floor annex building was constructed to enhance and improve its services. The ground floor of the building houses the Circulation Section/Reading Area, the Librarian's Office, and Av Room 1. At the Annex building, the periodical Section, E-Research Area and Reference Section where Reference Books, Filipiniana and Lasalliana collection are readily available.
The Archive Section, Bound Periodicals and an AV Room 2 formerly called the Reading Room are situated in the second floor of the Annex building. Professional reading materials and some special collections and selected references from donors are made available in the faculty Area of the library mezzanine.
The third floor of the annex building holds an open space design to cater activities facilitated by the teachers and the school.
