Regular attendance and diligence in studies are vital for success. Therefore, students are expected to attend classes regularly and to be punctual at all times. Parents and/or guardians are expected to work hand in hand with the school in making sure that these rules are well understood and religiously followed by their children. Attendance will be checked per subject and may be recorded as a component in the performance task.

A student who has been absent must abide by the following guidelines:
a. Parents / guardians must fill out the SDFU Google Form for Absences and attach the necessary documents to support the reason for the absence.
b. Parents / guardians must use official or authorized (school declared) email addresses in filling up these forms. Only requests from parents/officially registered guardians will be accommodated.
c. For planned absence/s, SDFU Google Form for Absences must be filled out five (5) days before the date of absence. For absence/s due to illness, SDFU Google Form for Absences must be filled out immediately upon return to school.
d. Absence/s may be excused following the matrix provided that the SDFU Google Form for Absences has been filled out within the prescribed period
e. As a policy, students are not given any make-up laboratory class/activity. However, for excused absences, the missed laboratory exercise will not be included in the total number of laboratory activities performed in class.
f. When the absence prolongs for three (3) consecutive days or more, a family representative should inform the strand adviser of the cause of said absences.
g. A student who comes late for more than half of the class is considered absent and as such, will follow the procedure on filing for an absence.
h. Regardless of the number of classes in a day, a student who is absent for two (2) subjects is considered half-day absent, and a student who is absent for three (3) or more subjects is considered a whole day absent.
NOTE: Only students with the endorsement of absence from IS-SDFU are entitled to take missed assessment/s.
i. As per DepEd policy, if a student has accumulated unexcused absences equivalent to 20% or more of the total number of school days for the term, he/she is automatically dropped from the official register.
j. Prescribed Saturday and make-up classes approved by the administration are considered regular school days
Students who come to class after five (5) minutes of the official class schedule are considered tardy and are required to get a late pass before entering the class.
For all students who will be pulled out from class due to sickness, counseling appointments, discipline inquiries, or for any other reason, an admit slip/pass must be presented to the professor before being accepted to class. Custody arrangements must be declared and made known to the school officials upon enrolment.
