What is the Student Council?

They are in charge of organizing school activities and projects, reaching out, and catering to the student body's concerns.

Students aspiring to join the Student Council may file their certificate of candidacy in the student elections, which are managed by the DLSU SHS COMSELEC.

You may find information about past initiatives and projects under SC Affairs in the Announcements Section. You may also follow the Student Council’s social media for more details and updates on future events.

How does the Student Council represent student interests and concerns within the school community?

The Student Council acts as the bridge between the student body and administration, facilitating communication, raising concerns, and ensuring that the student body is considered in decision-making processes. They organize events and projects that cater to the interests and needs of the students, including but not limited to awareness campaigns, cultural celebrations, community service projects, etc. They are also tasked with disseminating information from the administration and keeping the student body informed of the latest announcements, events, and opportunities.

Are there any ongoing opportunities for students to join the Student Council throughout the school year beyond the initial elections?

Currently, the only opportunity for students to join the Student Council is to file for candidacy during the student elections period. For more details regarding this, you may refer to the DLSU SHS COMSELEC. However, interested students may apply to the SC Student Committee during the enlistment period and participate in events held by the Student Council throughout the year.

What is the Student Committee?

The SC Student Committee, also known as StuComm, works under the Student Council and consists of the various committees that serve as the student government’s manpower and strength in carrying out projects and initiatives designed to serve the student body.

How can students apply to join the SC Student Committee?

Students aspiring to join the SC Student Committee may apply during the enlistment period.

What are the general requirements for enlisting in the SC Student Committee?

The general requirements to apply for the SC Student Committee are the following:

Parent’s Consent Form
Recommendation Form
Copy of Grades

For ID 124s:Final Report Card from Grade 10 (if unavailable, a PDF copy of your latest Gr. 10 grades) with no grade lower than 80 in any subject and a grade above 85 in deportment.
For ID 123s:Report Card (OVG) from Terms 1, 2, and 3 of Grade 11 (if unavailable, a PDF copy of your Gr. 11 Term 1 and 2 grades) with no grade lower than 1.5 in any subject.

Who is eligible to apply for SC Student Committee’s Term 1 enlistments?

Grade 11 and 12 students are eligible to apply for the SC Student Committee.

Do I need to maintain certain academic standards, such as overall grades and decorum, in order to be eligible for enlistments?

Members of the SC Student Committee are expected to maintain a general average of 2.0 and have no grade lower than 1.5. Additionally, members are expected to demonstrate good conduct and maintain a deportment grade of 2.0 and above. The copy of grades will be submitted and checked by the Student Council at the end of every term.

Announcements: You may refer to this section for information about Student Council projects and initiatives, events and activities for the student body, and announcements from the administration.
Directory: You may refer to this section to find student resources (important documents, forms, links, etc.), as well as contact information for the offices, administration, and student organizations.
Archer’s Corner: You may refer to this section to access the campus map and event calendar.
Green Action Alliance: You may refer to this section to read different articles about environmental sustainability.
