Student Committees

The Host Committee is tasked with assisting the Student Council in hosting various events for the student body. As hosts, members of this committee must be enthusiastic and energetic on stage, while always ready to adjust to any problems or issues that may arise during a program. This committee will work closely with the Information Committee and the Logistics Committee.

The Creatives Committee is tasked with assisting the Student Council in creating publication materials to be posted on the council’s social media accounts and Google Site. Members of this committee must be skilled in producing visually appealing artistic works using platforms such as Canva or Adobe Illustrator. This committee will work closely with the Informations Committee, Communications Committee, Documentation Committee, and Technicals Committee.

The Informations Committee is tasked with assisting the Student Council in writing captions for publication materials and other documents—such as scripts, descriptions, and Google Site content—needed by the council. Members of this committee must have flexible writing styles to accommodate the different types of events they will be writing for. They must also be capable of producing high-quality written work quickly and efficiently. This committee will work closely with the Hosting Committee, Creatives Committee, and Communications Committee.

The Communications Committee is tasked with assisting the Student Council in managing its official Google Site, in collaboration with the JHS and GS PROs, while also serving as a liaison to other committees. Members of this committee must possess strong communication skills and demonstrate proper email and formal messaging etiquette. This committee will work closely with the Creatives Committee and the Informations Committee.

The Documentation Committee is tasked with assisting the Student Council in gathering and documenting photos and videos during various council events and programs for publication and archival purposes. As photographers and videographers, members of this committee must be able to capture the essence of an event through their shots, while focusing on highlighting the main moments of the day. This committee will work closely with the Creatives Committee and the Technicals Committee.

The Logistics Committee is tasked with assisting the Student Council in overseeing and providing manpower for upcoming events. Members of this committee must be committed and focused, attending required meetings and listening carefully to instructions from council members and moderators. They may be assigned to manage props, oversee the stage, handle security, manage registration, act as runners, and perform other logistical tasks. High stamina and concentration are essential to ensure that all assigned responsibilities are fulfilled. This committee will work closely with the Communications Committee.

The Technicals Committee is tasked with assisting the Student Council in editing and producing photos and videos for event documentation, policy materials, and promotional content. Members of this committee must be experienced in using various editing software, such as Canva, CapCut, and Adobe Photoshop. This committee will work closely with the Documentation Committee and the Creatives Committee.
