Hello, families!

I'm Mr. Gordon, and I'm thrilled to embark on my Fourth year at DMCS. It's an honor to have your child in my class, and I eagerly anticipate a year filled with discovery, growth, and memorable experiences.

This year, our journey through fifth grade will be both engaging and enlightening. We'll delve into the rich tapestry of the American Revolution, uncovering the stories and events that shaped our nation's history. A highlight of our year will be the much-anticipated Wax Museum project, where students will research and embody historical figures, bringing them to life for our school community.

In addition to our historical explorations, students will have opportunities to express themselves through creative writing, crafting narratives that showcase their imagination and voice. In mathematics, we'll tackle new concepts and challenges, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills that will serve them well beyond the classroom.
