Ruth Rains Middle School, Dixie County's only middle school, serves grades 5-7. With a student population around 460, a faculty of 30, and a support staff of 16, we are all working hard to accomplish the vision of our school.
Our Vision
Ruth Rains Middle School is dedicated to the education of the total child in a caring, fun, hands-on, safe, and academically challenging environment. We recognize each child as an individual with varying abilities, backgrounds, and values.
Our Goal
Our goal is to instill in our students the skills that will enable them to become productive, tolerant citizens in a global society. An important key to this success lies in the commitment among school personnel, students, parents and community who recognize that learning is a lifelong process.
Our Commitment
The staff at Ruth Rains Middle School is committed to preparing the students for the Florida State Assessment. There are remediation and accelerated classes.
