We are ALL Artists!

EVERYTHING in our man-made world requires putting pen to paper

to begin the process of creating, building and designing our physical world.

There is not one thing in our daily lives- car designs- computers- phones-cereal boxes- clothing

the list is ENDLESS of the items we use EVERYDAY that require some type of creative process to

bring forth these items into our physical world.

We create our days and our personal worlds by the clothes we choose to wear, the way we wear

our hair, how we design our homes and office spaces- where we live- all of these creative energies

make ALL OF US ARTISTS!

There are NO mistakes in Art!

In art there are no mistakes, only opportunities for creativity." Denise - an art teacher.

At the opening of every art class the Students repeat these words with great vibrato:

"THERE are NO Mistakes in Art!" And it is important for all of us -not only grade school students

to understand just how important and powerful that phrase can be.

Ask to see Students Art Work!

Some students tend to be shy about taking their Art work home.

The objective in Art class is to have fun, learn new things and to

see how science, math & writing are all related to Art by using

symbols, shapes, numbers and letters.

It matters not if the vase of flowers is crooked or the flowers are not "real looking".

All that matters is the Student took the time to look at the flowers to see the colors

to attempt- to try- because this is how we learn - by trying.

Besides there is a GREAT DEAL more going on to help a growing brain when a

Student picks up a pencil or paintbrush. These movements of the hand are the dynamics

and the signals to the brain for opening new neurological pathways that in turn

stimulate the thought process and improve fine motor-skills.
