WHAT ARE VIRTUAL CLASSES? WHAT are HYBRID CLASSES?

The Virtual Class platform is not a new development but new to our offerings. This platform allows the educators to focus deeper into the psychomotor, cognitive, and affective domains, and hone in on specific goals for each student. We’re hopeful that our families will understand that this is a rapidly fluid situation and that we are doing our best to navigate in everyone best interest. Although we have no idea how long this will be our new normal, we sure hope you'll give our virtual classes a try. Our students at DDI are loved seeing their teachers, meeting new teachers from NY, students from other countries, honing in on details, experiencing cross disciplinary models, and connecting with local dance family again.

How will classes be taught?

We have the option of providing live, as well as pre-recorded classes via Zoom. We want to encourage live classes to continue the engagement and provide feedback. You will also be able to play back the classes and grab theories.

How will corrections be provided?

They’ll be provided by instructors during the live classes.

Are we still preparing for concerts?

While the current circumstances prevent us from solidifying dates for our annual productions, we are still preparing for a spring showcase event either an outdoor event or filmed event.

Will the classes take place at the same time virtually as they would in the studio?

Although our goal is to keep classes as close to the schedule as possible, we have made to make minor modifications to the schedule to accommodate our digital platform.

Will drop-in classes be offered, and will the fee be the same?

We will provide a schedule of classes that are available for drop-ins. Its on the NEXT page

The fee will be determined by the class, however, generally, the drop-in fee is NOW $10.

How do you pay for drop-in classes?

We will provide a secure a payment platform link through PayPal.

Should students wear their uniform during the online classes?

Yes! We encourage all students to maintain the same level of discipline, even though we are learning digitally. Please wear your uniform during class sessions. We may need to send our activity to prospective support for the organization and we want to share our professional presentation in our creative spaces.

Will you host master classes or workshops online, during this time?

Will online classes continue once we resume classes in person?

Yes, we will continue online classes once our in-person classes resume.
