About Me

I have completed my Bachelor of Information Systems from Australian Catholic University, Sydney, Australia. I also completed my Master’s in Computer Science and Engineering from East West University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. I completed my PhD in Computer Engineering at the University Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP). In addition to this, I have achieved some of the renowned vendor certifications such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified EC-Council Instructor (CEI), Certified Technologist (CT), etc. to gain in-depth knowledge in the domain of cybersecurity. 

I have  more than 15 years of working experience both in teaching and professional roles in a number of distinguished institutions of Australia and Bangladesh. I have been working as Associate Professor in the Department of Software Engineering at Daffodil International University (DIU) for eight and half years. Apart from the above, I was appointed as the Director of Cyber Security Centre, DIU. I am  also working as the Coordinator of the Cyber Security major in under-graduation and post-graduation program. Besides, I have designed the curriculum and syllabus for 14 courses for the Cyber Security major programs and also designed the syllabus for M Sc in Cyber Security . I was the key contributor to design syllabus on Information System Security Management for RMG & Textile Industry Skills Council (RTISC), Bangladesh Govt. I am  the mentor of the cyber security student’s research community where I have successfully produced a number of quality publications in the cybersecurity domain. I am  the mentor of student’s Catch the Flag (CTF) community of Cyber Security Centre. Moreover, I am involved in several other activities like conducting technical trainings, workshops, seminars, awareness programs, etc. I am engaged myself in Certified Ethical Hacker Training as the instructor for the students of DIU. I published more than 26 research articles in international indexed book chapters, journals and conference proceedings. I have supervised more than 40 undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations in my brief academic career. I won various awards such as for a software product, and best paper recognition.    

Throughout my career I have demonstrated my strong willingness to learn and acquire in-depth knowledge in all the subjects that I have studied for, especially in the area of information security.  I involved my students in all my research projects. Currently, I am working on different research projects such as cybersecurity, web application vulnerability detection, steganography, authentication, etc.
