Hello! I’m Mst. Mahiya Akter, an undergraduate student at Daffodil International University, Department of Public Health. I am passionate about transforming ideas into actions that make real differences in people’s lives. My academic journey is driven by a strong belief that prevention is the most powerful form of protection.
As the General Secretary of the DIU Public Health Club, I lead with purpose and confidence — organizing impactful events, awareness campaigns, and community projects that inspire positive change. My leadership role has strengthened my ability to motivate others, manage teams, and communicate effectively even in challenging situations.
Beyond academics, I have developed a strong presence as a host and presenter at various university events such as the Orientation Fall-23, seminars by the Public Health Club, and Prothom Alo Bondhu Shova programs. These experiences have built my confidence, quick thinking, and adaptability — qualities that help me stand out as both a communicator and a leader.
I believe that true strength lies in empathy and action. My vision is to work in preventive health and early disease surveillance, focusing on reducing health risks through community awareness, innovation, and collaboration. I want to be a voice for those who are unheard — and contribute to building a healthier, more informed generation.
I describe myself as confident, disciplined, and forward-thinking — someone who turns challenges into opportunities and ideas into results. Every day, I strive to learn, lead, and leave a meaningful impact through the field of public health
