Algebra 1B (the second half of the algebra 1 curriculum) is designed to provide students rich opportunities to build an understanding of important new mathematical concepts and develop fluency with key skills described in the Standards for Mathematical Content and to gain proficiency with the habits of mind and thinking dispositions described in the Standards for Mathematical Practice. To achieve these goals, the curriculum includes content-focused lessons and Mathematical Modeling. These instructional activities are integral to helping students achieve success, and the pacing of the curriculum reflects this.
