I earned a B.S. in Communication from Bradley University as well as a M.S. in Multicategorical Special Education from Governors State University, along with endorsements in Middle School Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts. I have taught all core subjects area at the middle school level in one form or another. This will be my 11th year teaching, but my first at S.E. Gross Middle School, and I couldn't be more excited. My wife is a teacher as well, and we have a 17th month old daughter, Ivy, keeping us busy when we get home from school.
I became a teacher because I wanted to do something that I felt was making a positive impact on the world around me, and as your student's teacher, I will work my hard to help your students grow into successful, well-rounded individuals. I love social studies as it allows us to understand where we came from, our past mistakes as a society, and the directions we may be heading. Science helps us to study and understand the inner workings and behavior of virtually everything, from simple single-celled organisms to vast, light year-spanning nebulae.
