BUILDING A DREAM HOUSE:

You are a new contractor who is being considered for building a house. Ms. Myogeto is asking you to come up with a floor plan for her new house that includes a fenced in backyard so she can get a new puppy. She will look at several different floor plans and choose the best one for her new home.

In order to be an excellent contractor, you have to prove that you are an expert in finding area and perimeter of shapes. Let’s start designing!

Step 1:

• Choose at least 4 websites, 2 from each column.

• On the recording sheet, you will record which websites you visited and explored.

Step 2:

​When you finish exploring those websites, you will show what you know by answering a few questions. You will have to answer these correctly before you can move onto Step 3. Get these from Ms. Myogeto

Step 3:

Begin drawing your own floor plan. Click on the button to see sample floor plans. Remember to add a living room, kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, garage, deck, and yard. You can click on the document to get another copy of the form to show your calculations.
