Albany Area Schools provides an ELL program for grades K-12. ELL is defined as English Language Learners and contains the four areas of language; Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing. Each individual class is designed to meet the specific needs of the learner based on their abilities in each area of language. Students must qualify by taking the MN WIDA Screener and receive a score below 4.5 . A score of 4.5 or higher is considered proficient in the English Language in the State of MN and would therefore not qualify for services.
