Parent Orientation

Follow these steps to get your child started with remote learning:

Step 1:

Log into Chromebook or Device


While these steps allow you to log in to your student's Google account on any device, you must have it to log into a school device.

"Sign in to your Chromebook"

There are two ways to log in:

  1. Click Next

  • You can then hold up your quick card (located in the material bag) and it will automatically log your student in.

or if you cannot login with the quick card.

  1. "Sign in with a different account"

a. Enter your student's email address (in your student's manilla envelope received at material pick up)

b. Click Next

c. Enter Password

Examples of email address and password:
  • Your first name initial
  • Your middle name initial
  • The first five letters of your last name
  • Example: your name is Suzie Marie Johnson your email will be smjohns@academic.district70.org
  • If you did not receive materials or forgot password please contact your student's teacher or the school: 719-647-9732

Step 2:

Log in to ClassLink

IMPORTANT: ClassLink should be the first place you log in everyday. It is the place to access all district and course applications. ClassLink saves your information so that you can log in and be able to navigate and access all your applications.

  1. When you log into a school issued Chromebook, this page should pop up as soon as you open Google Chrome.

  2. If you do not see this sign in screen or you are signing in from your personal device, go to this link.

  1. When you get to the "choose account" page:

a. use your quick card

or

b. choose "Sign in with Google" Enter your child's academic.district70.org account information and sign in. This is the same information as above.

Step 3:

Access Schoology App

Teachers will use Schoology daily to add assignments, share lessons and communicate with students and parents.


  • Once you are logged into Class Link, you should see a page of apps.


  • Click on the Schoology App


  • Once you are logged into the Schoology App, click on courses. Here you will be able to view and access your child's courses.


Note: You may not see material in these courses until the first day of school, which is Monday, August 24th. Please wait for more direction from your child's teacher on Monday.

STep 4:

Set Up Your Schoology Parent Account

Parents will have a separate account to help monitor what your student is doing as well as communicate with the teacher. A parent letter is included in the materials bag with login information. If you do not have this information please call the school and we will get it for you.

Click on the link https://app.schoology.com/register.php?type=parent

Enter the access code that was provided by the school. If you do not have this access code please contact your child's teacher.

STep 5:

Once in Your Schoology Account Explore

When you are in your account, you can use the top navigation bar to move around your account. Here you can:

  1. View your students courses

  2. See course updates from the teachers

  3. Upcoming assignments for your student

  4. You can message teachers

REMEMBER: Students must log in to Classlink daily.

Do NOT skip Classlink to get into your student's learning sites. It is important to go through Classlink; this is our primary means of taking attendance.
