This Award is given annually to honor an individual in the field of art education who has made noteworthy service contributions to AMT and/or the field of art & media technology. The individual is an advocate of digital technology and/or new media in connection to visual art education.

2. AMT Outstanding Research/Higher Ed Award
This Award is given annually to honor an individual in the field of art education who has made noteworthy research contributions to the field of art & media technology. The individual has made a significant contribution to research journals and/or books in the specific field of technology/new media in connection to visual art education. (An exceptional and continuous record of achievement in scholarly writing and research.)
Criteria:
1. Outstanding Emergent Research in art & media technology
2. Innovative Research in art & media technology
3. Facilitating Dialogical Process of Theory and Practice
3. AMT Outstanding Teaching Award
This is an award in which AMT honors an art educator who applies exceptional instructional applications in K-12 classrooms, museum education, or alternative settings. An outstanding art educator/teacher is honored who is recognized by students, colleagues, and/or supervisors as someone who consistently inspires and mentors students in a cooperative, collegial, collaborative, and nurturing manner or who has made a special effort to apply innovative pedagogy and technology integration into his/her art teaching.

Submission Deadline: February 11th, 2026
Eligibility: The nominee must be a current member of the National Art Education Association (NAEA) and a member of the Art & Media Technology (AMT). The current Executive Board of the NAEA Art & Media Technology may not be nominated.
