8/27/2020 One the second day of Algebra I learned how to type equations using the desmos keyboard tool. I also learned to type in the square root symbol by typing "sq rt." We used different desmos tools and got used to the structure include the draw tool, card sort, and typing equations. I was able to figure out how to type equations on the keyboard, which is a very important skill I should know how to do. This help me further on in the year with learning algebra at home!
8/30/2020 In this lesson (The importance of struggle, Algebra Day 3), I learned some important facts. After watching the video about the brain and how it deals with struggling, I learned that our brain is like a muscle, and the more you think and learn, the more muscle you gain for your brain. We also learned about "The learning pit". The learning pit is an example of when you are very stuck on a problem and yet keep trying! You may be in a "hole" for a while, but with enough confidence and hard work you can get out of that pit, and figure out your answer!
8/31/2020 In this lesson (Algebra Day 4), I learned to believe in myself even more, and definitely trust my gut. I have always had trouble doing this, especially in math, but I'm working on it and this lesson helped me further understand how to believe in myself.
