My name is Mr. Fosco, and I’m proud to be one of the physical education teachers at Chute Middle School. I also serve as the department chair, athletic/intramural director, and head track and field coach. This year marks my 18th as part of the Chute Family, and I can honestly say I love what I do—especially being part of such an incredible school community.
I hold a degree in history from Dominican University, an endorsement in physical education from North Park University, and a master’s degree in school counseling from Northeastern Illinois University. Education runs in my family—my parents, godmother, and cousin are all educators, with two of them specializing in adventure education, which has strongly influenced my approach to teaching.
My philosophy of physical education is rooted in both traditional and experiential methods. I strive to instill the importance of a healthy lifestyle both inside and outside the classroom, helping students develop habits that will benefit them for life.
My goal is to ensure that every student has an exceptional physical education experience during their time at Chute. The physical, social, and emotional skills they learn in PE are invaluable for their overall success—not just in the classroom but in life.
