After auditioning, you will receive the letter linked here. Please read it carefully. We are so proud of you for auditioning and can't wait to have you in our musical family!
Remember that casting decisions are the result of a voting team of directors, and that each and every actor will be featured. We hope you have auditioned to be part of a magical experience and a bonded team, no matter the specific role assignment.

This packet provides essential information about our musical program. It is available in the LMC and can also be printed here.
To join the cast of Newsies, it needs to be filled out, signed, and turned into Mrs. Holmer in the LMC on or before Friday, November 11.

Vocal Guide Tracks: These tracks include a singer. Use them to learn your two songs.
Accompaniment Tracks: These tracks do NOT include a singer, and you will use them at your audition. Be sure to learn your entrances without the guide voice.

Remember that you may attend optional workshops the week before the auditions to learn the dance as well.

The week before auditions, we will hold optional workshops during recess and after school to help students prepare for auditions. We will focus on the audition dance but will also learn the songs and practice the scenes.

Please remember your audition date/time, and arrive 15 minutes before you are scheduled to audition.
When you arrive, go to the LMC to wait for your turn.

Callback Packet & Information
Each evening after auditions, students will receive an email from Mrs. Holmer (through school Gmail) letting them know if they have received a callback invitation.
Students who receive a callback should use this packet to prepare.
Callback Basics:
Not all students who audition will receive a callback invitation.
Callback invitations are not indicative of casting choices.
If a student receives a callback invitation, it means that the directing team needs more information before casting.
At callbacks, students will only perform long enough for the directors to gain the information they need. This means that some students will have "down time" at callbacks.
Callbacks run like a workshop where students work together to perform several scenes and songs.
