Requirements
To graduate from the Academy, you must have a total of 30 curricular points which you can earn by taking fine arts classes. To apply for the academy, you must take both Theatre I and Theatre II by the end of your sophomore year. It is also important, but not required, that you have participated in theatre extracurriculars by either being in the show or working behind the scenes. This is essential because you must also acquire 29 extracurricular points to graduate with the academy.
Application Process
Step 1: First you'll need to fill out the Student Information Google Form. Due Tuesday, 10/1/24.
Step 2: You will acquire two letters of recommendation from teachers outside the Fine Arts Department. The teacher recommendation slips can be found Here. Due Tuesday, 10/15/24.
Step 3: Create your online portfolio. This will consist of your personal information and examples of your work. Due Tuesday, 10/15/24.
Step 4: Fill out the Online Fine Arts Academy Application Form, which will require you to give information on yourself, classes you have taken or are currently enrolled in, and a link to your portfolio. Due Tuesday, 10/15/24.
Step 5: After receiving an interview confirmation, via email, with information on where and when the interview will be held, you will attend an interview with a fine arts teacher to discuss your goals and reasons for applying to the academy. Interviews are 11/14/24.
