How to make brownies

Kayla M., 7th Grade

Brownies, a delicious treat that are easy to make and everybody loves them. To make them it takes a few easy steps.

The ingredients you will need to make them are, 1 stick of melted butter, ½ of a cup of unsweetened cocoa, 1 ¼ of a cup of sugar, 2 large eggs, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, ½ of a cup of flour, and ¼ of a teaspoon of salt.

To start off this recipe you need to preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

After that, you need to grease an 8x8 square pan, but if you'd like you can instead line it with foil, set that pan aside.

In a medium bowl combine your melted butter, your cocoa powder, and your sugar.

Stir it together until fully dissolved.

Add your eggs into the bowl one at a time and mix your batter after adding each one.

Stir in your vanilla until it is combined very well.

Next you want to fully combine your flour and salt into the batter, make sure though to not over mix your batter because that would not turn out that good.

If you would like your brownies to have extra chocolate you can add in extra mini chocolate chips to your batter.

Pour your batter into your pan and make sure to spread it out evenly.

Put your brownies into the oven and let them cook for about 20-22 minutes, or cook them until the middle is fully done cooking.

You can test if their done by sticking a toothpick or fork in the middle of the brownies and if nothing comes on the toothpick or fork when you pull it out, then they are done, if something comes onto the fork or toothpick when you pull it out, they are not done.

When your brownies are done, take them out of the oven and let them cool down for about 9-10 minutes.

When they are cool cut them into squares and let yourself and any other people who eat them enjoy.

In conclusion, that is how to make a delicious batch of brownies. These treats are perfect for anytime and now you know how to make them.
