Visual Literacy

How does Visual Literacy fit in with Global Collaboration, Project Based Learning and Flipped Learning?

I think Visual Literacy fits into all of these because of appeal. Even if a person is not a visual learner, an image that is visually stimulating can draw in a learner from any background and peak their interest enough to move onto the next step or process. Visual Literacy is the catalyst to begin so many learning processes because it is an attention getter.

Can Visual Literacy enhance the learning in your classroom? How?

I mostly work with adult learners but I truly believe Visual Literacy doesn't appeal to just younger students. It is utilized in so many places across the world to draw in a learner/reader/client/customer. It can enhance my classroom by showing teachers what is appealing to them and it is easier and quicker to learn a new tool by seeing it as well as hearing it. Quick infographics that state the purpose of a training or serve as a refresher tool of what was just taught in a training will make using the tool/software/app easier for the teacher to implement.
