Lunch Information:

D76 is committed to reducing the spread of germs and bacteria in our buildings. As a result, our lunch program will be implementing several changes to the food handling process effective immediately.

Discontinuing the self-serve fruit and vegetable bar

D76 will be adding a hot fruit and vegetable option for every lunch as a substitute, and fruits will be self-contained whenever possible (i.e. apple slices in a pre-sealed bag, orange wedges in a pre-sealed bag)

Condiments will be served out of packets and handed out by staff members at West Oak Campus, and squeeze bottled condiments will continue to be used at Diamond Lake but dispensed by staff members.

We will continue to provide hand sanitizer for students entering the lunch lines and taking all appropriate precautions.

Wrestling: Congratulations to Ethan Thomas, Josue Bello, and Matt Lucansky for qualifying for the the IESA State Wrestling Tournament that would have taken place this weekend.

Band: The West Oak Middle School 7th and 8th grade band students attended the NIMCon Music Festival on Friday, March 6th, 2020. The students performed at South Middle School in Arlington Heights and played the following pieces: Triumphant Fanfare by Richard Saucedo, Brighton Beach by William Latham, and Earthdance by Michael Sweeney. The judges awarded the students the following scores: 34/36, 34/36, and 35/36 which resulted in a very high Division I rating for our 7th and 8th grade band. The students did a fantastic job at their performance and received valuable feedback from the judge's in their clinic. Congratulations to the West Oak Band program!

Banda: Los estudiantes de Banda de los grados 7 y 8 de la West Oak Middle School asistieron al Festival de Música NIMCon el viernes 6 de marzo de 2020. Parent Teacher Conferences: Student Led Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday, April 8th and Thursday, April 9th. This Friday March 6th, please visit the Parents and Community page on our website for the link to the online conference sign up.

Talent Show: Students still have the opportunity to sign up to audition for this year's talent show! The deadline to sign up has been extended until Thursday, March 19th. Any student who would like to audition should fill out the audition form on the Student Hub. Auditions will be held the week of March 30th. We will schedule each student for an audition time after we receive all form responses. For more information, please see or email Ms. Borkowski or Mr. Schorsch.
