Our Band, Choir, and Sunrise Singers all scored a "1" at their NIMCon Festival last weekend!

Our Shamrock Social middle school dance is at Fremont Middle School tonight from 5:30-7:30pm. The cost is $5 to attend.
We had two students from our wrestling program qualify for State competitions this weekend!

West Oak Middle and Intermediate Schools had a "Clapout" event for our State wrestling qualifiers.
Our wonderful D76 staff made kindness baskets and delivered them to multiple community municipalities this week.
Student Attendance Matters: Students in school are in a supervised environment, which reduces the likelihood of engaging in risky behaviors or substance use.
P/T/S Conferences: Parent-Teacher Conferences are just around the corner and will take place on March 19th. Sign-up information was sent via ParentSquare last week.These conferences will be student-led, and we encourage students to attend alongside you. Please indicate what type of conference you would like (In-person/virtual) and if translation will be needed. We look forward to sharing the progress students have made so far and discussing our goals as we head toward the end of the school year.
8th Grade Save the Dates/Dance: The end of the school year is coming quickly and we are excited to celebrate our 8th grade's final months with us. Please review our upcoming important dates and complete this Form if you would be willing to help with our 8th grade dance.
SMILE Dentist Visit: The SMILE dentist is coming to West Oak Intermediate School on March 18th. If you are interested in having your child seen by the dentist at school please click here. If you have questions, please contact Julie Marchese at 847-388-2599.
Summer Exploration Camp: We are excited to announce that Summer Exploration Camp registration is open and is available to all D76 students K-8th grade. Summer Exploration Camp will run Monday through Thursday, June 3rd-July 2nd, from 8-11:30am at Diamond Lake School. There is no cost and transportation will be provided. Track and Field: Our Track and Field sports season is coming soon. An informational meeting for students will be March 17th, from 3:30-4:30pm, and practice will begin after Spring Break. Here is a letter for more information.
Boys Volleyball: Our Boys Volleyball season will be starting soon as well. Tryouts will be on March 17th and 18th. Here is a letter for more information.
Stallions Cheerleading: The Lake County Stallions Cheerleading program is starting their first ever Cheer Abilities team. This is a unified, adaptive cheer program specifically designed for athletes of all abilities in 2nd-8th grade. Here is a flyer for more information.
Future Quest: The Lake County Tech Campus is excited to announce this year’s Future Quest career exploration day will be on April 8th. This is an opportunity for 7th and 8th graders to experience career opportunities in any of their 20 different program areas. (https://www.techcampus.org/programs) The event gives students the opportunity to experience 3 different career programs and it will run from 3:30-7:00pm. A bus will be provided to bring students to the event and it will bring students home promptly after it is over. There is no cost and Lake County Tech will provide students with pizza, cookies and water on that evening as well. Here is a flyer and the Form to sign up.
Mayors STEM Challenge: We are excited to announce that Mundelein High School has once again agreed to host the Annual Mayor’s STEM Challenge. The event will take place on Sunday, April 19, with an individual Math and team STEM competitions. Here is a flyer for more information. Students will be able to sign up through their Math teachers.
5Essentials: Each year parents, students and teachers across Illinois will have an opportunity to participate in the annual statewide Illinois 5Essentials Survey. This survey is designed to generate a detailed picture of the inner workings of your child’s school. As a parent/guardian, this opportunity will allow you to share your thoughts on the important elements of school effectiveness in a survey about your child’s school. Please take a few minutes to complete the Illinois 5 Essentials Survey. Your feedback is greatly important to us and your participation allows us to focus our continued improvement efforts. After completing the survey you are invited to enter the raffle to win a dinner, delivered by Mr. Pedersen, by completing this Form. The raffle winner will be determined on March 20, with the
winner's dinner being delivered by Mr. Pedersen that evening. This will include pizza for your family, along with a desert.
Diamond Awards: New to this year, we ask families to complete this nomination Form if they would like to recognize a staff member they feel are going above and beyond with what they do in the classroom, school, or district. Please consider spreading the positivity bys highlighting the great work that staff our doing in our district.
MHS Monthly Tours: Mundelein High School is offering building tours throughout the school year to help acclimate their incoming students for next year. Please view this page for upcoming tours!
Monday: Ice cream day is Monday, March 16th. If you are available to serve Ice Cream during lunch. Please check the Volunteer Sign up for any openings. Register online and pay via Zelle through the end of the day Friday, March 13th.
Tuesday: You are invited to join us at our monthly PTO meeting on Tuesday, March 17th, from 6-7:00pm at Diamond Lake Elementary School Library. All are welcome to attend.
Wednesday: All day on Wednesday, March 18th we have a dine out at Panera. Use the code Fund4U when you order online or at the Kiosk. Show the flyer if you are helped by a cashier.
Thursday: Nothing Bundt Cakes will be at the West Oak Campus on March 19th, from 4-7:00pm during Parent/Teacher Conferences.
The PTO is excited to share that due to several generous parent donations, all students K-8th grade will have ice cream available to them on Monday. We hope the students enjoy the special treat. An allergen free frozen treat will also be provided for those who need it.
