A Letter from the Principal

Dear Diamond Lake School Families,

Last night’s second grade concert was truly magical. Thank you to all of our families who joined us—it was wonderful to come together through music and celebration. I’ve included a few snapshots from rehearsals and the evening performance to capture some of those special moments.

Trimester 2 Report Cards go home today. Please take time to review the progress your child has made so far this year. We are incredibly proud of the hard work our students demonstrate each day. Report cards are a meaningful opportunity to celebrate growth, effort, and the many successes students achieve throughout the year.

Our attendance goal this week was 95% of students in attendance each day.

Monday- 94.2%

Tuesday- 93.4%

Wednesday- 90.4%

Thursday- 94.6%

Reminder there is NO SCHOOL on Monday, February 16th due to President's Day.

D76 CARES: At D76, the well-being of our students and families is our top priority. Understanding the critical role mental health plays in student success, we have launched D76 CARES - a comprehensive initiative aimed at improving access to quality mental health services across our community. D76 CARES stands for Community, Advocacy, Resilience, Engagement, and Support. Treatment services are initially provided free of charge to district families for up to 8 sessions. Next PTO Meeting- You are invited to join us at our monthly PTO meeting. Tuesday February 17th, 2026 6:00-7:00pm Diamond Lake Elementary School Library. All are welcome to attend.

Family Loteria Night! Please join us for this fun family night of bingo style play on Friday, February 20th, from 6pm-8pm at the West Oak Campus Cafeteria, 26156 N. Acorn Lane, Mundelein, IL 60060. This event is free to play. Prizes will be awarded. Snacks will be available to purchase.

We are excited to offer the D76 Market food market to support our school community. This program provides access to numerous nutritional food for the benefit of our families. To ensure we provide the items you need, please complete this short order form.
