We hope you are having a wonderful summer! As we look forward to a fantastic new school year, we have a few exciting community events and essential back-to-school updates to share with you.

🌟 Upcoming Community Events

Mundelein Farmers Market – Saturday, August 8th
- Time: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Location: Park Street & Seymour Avenue, Downtown Mundelein
- Details: Enjoy fresh local produce, artisan goods, and family activities. It’s a wonderful morning out to connect with neighbors and support local vendors!
McDonald's Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway – Monday, August 10th
- Time: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Location: McDonald's on Route 45 in town
- Details: Join us for a fun community event where backpacks and school supplies will be distributed to our community. This is a combined event with all Mundelein Schools—and yes, Grimace is usually there! Stop by to grab a bite to eat and say hello as our students prepare for a great school year.

Homeroom & Transportation Info: Parents will receive a secure document through ParentSquare on Wednesday, August 12th, providing their student's homeroom teacher assignment, transportation information, and locker assignment.
ParentSquare Setup: To access your account directions, please visit our website at dist76.org/communications. This is particularly helpful for new families joining our district.

D76 CARES: At D76, the well-being of our students and families is our top priority. Understanding the critical role mental health plays in student success, we have launched D76 CARES - a comprehensive initiative aimed at improving access to quality mental health services across our community. D76 CARES stands for Community, Advocacy, Resilience, Engagement, and Support. Treatment services are initially provided free of charge to district families for up to 8 sessions. We are excited to offer the D76 Market food market to support our school community. This program provides access to numerous nutritional food for the benefit of our families. To ensure we provide the items you need, please complete this short order form.

Location: Curbside pick-up at Diamond Lake School
