Dear West Oak Intermediate School Families,
It was so wonderful seeing all of you at our Meet and Greet evening last night! I could feel the energy, excitement, and sense of community that filled our hallways and classrooms. I have no doubt we are on track for an amazing first day of school on Monday and a successful 25-26 school year!
We are looking forward to welcoming you to our building again on Wednesday, August 27th for the West Oak Intermediate School 2025-2026 Curriculum Night. This event is a great opportunity for families to learn more about what their children will be studying this year and to explore ways to be engaged in their learning journey. We will also share about standards based grading, student support services, and resources to support your student at home.
Presentations will begin promptly at 6:00 pm. Families are welcome to enter the building through the West Oak Intermediate and District Office Entrance (Door 8), starting at 5:55 pm. The schedule for curriculum night is included below. Each team will be giving repeated 15-minute presentations. This allows you to see your students’ grade-level presentations and also meet with other educators, such as intervention and specials.
Please note that this event is intended for parents and guardians only as students should not attend Curriculum Night. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Sincerely,
Natalie Kalette
Principal
West Oak Intermediate School

D76 CARES: At D76, the well-being of our students and families is our top priority. As we begin a new school year, your support at home sets the stage for a strong and positive start. Here are three simple ways to help your child transition smoothly into the school routine:
🕒 Establish consistent routines for bedtime, wake-up time, and morning preparation to help your child feel rested and ready to learn.
🎒 Talk positively about school—encourage excitement about meeting new teachers, making friends, and learning new skills.
✅ Help your child get organized by reviewing their backpack and materials with them prior to the start of the year and each evening.
Your student's classroom teacher should be your first point of contact. For building-related information, please call the front office at 847-970-3544 or contact the following individuals via email:
