Eco-friendly Photography

What can a photographer do to get greener footsteps? Here are some of the actions I have taken over the past five years:

• I use a self-balancing electric unicycle for my photo assignments (image). For work a long way from home, I travel by bus or train. With this method, I have managed to reduce my consumption of fossil fuels by 90%.

• During the summer, I charge my batteries via solar panels installed on our balcony.

• I try to get the job done with what I have and avoid making new purchases. Buys new tools only if the need is significant and then chooses high-quality products.

• The collaboration with local photographers has removed the need to build a studio. If necessary, I rent a photo studio from my new collaborators.
