Miss Emily

Hi! I’m Emily — mom of three boys and an elementary education graduate with more than a decade of teaching experience. After my middle son was born, I shifted into outdoor learning through Tinkergarten, and the community we found there has shaped so much of my work and my family’s life. As my kids have grown, Discovery Creek has grown with us. Our Playschool, now in its second year, was born from noticing my son’s need for a more natural, authentic learning environment and wanting to create that space for other children too. Our Playschool and Homeschool Enrichment programs have grown from that same vision of giving kids room to explore, create, and learn in ways that feel true to who they are.

Teacher Nelly

Teacher Nelly has worked in a variety of educational settings over the years, and I’ve had the joy of teaching alongside her. She was once my co‑teacher and quickly impressed me with her natural ability to connect with children. She has also been a loving teacher to all three of my boys in different seasons of their lives. As a mom to a 7‑year‑old son, she brings a playful, patient presence to every group she leads. We are so lucky to have Teacher Nelly.
