Online Programs and Applications
The following three programs/applications will assist educators in supporting their students in the classroom to support student success.
Google Suite/Google Classroom: The Google Suite allows educators to chose the components needed to build an online or hybrid classroom. Google Classroom allows teachers to assign assignments to particular students or groups of students, and provide extra time by varying due dates for students who require accommodations. Google Drive works in conjunction with Google Classroom, and the Chrome Store has an extensive variety of applications and extensions to enhance the Google Classroom experience for the teacher, students, and parents.
Blooket/Kahoot!: Both of these gamified quiz applications allow for differentiation by class and by individual. With various modes to choose from to meet the needs of each of your classes, to countdown timer modifications, these game applications allow students to study concepts learned in class, and then compete against each other in the classroom in formative assessment form.
NearPod: This program gives teachers the ability to create a full lesson with embedded activities, videos, and assessments all in one deliverable for students to interact with. With teacher-lead and solo play, the teacher can differentiate between groups of students, or differentiate the NearPod for various groups of students within the class.
