About Me

The man behind Makara Engineering. 

Arno grew up in the Netherlands where his early trade was precision tool machining. He soon developed a desire for new adventure and immigrated to New Zealand in the early 1990s. 

Arno quickly fell in love with New Zealand's natural scenery and the farming industry. He spent many years working on various types of livestock farms and grew a reputation with local farmers on his strong work ethic. After gaining valuable skills in farm management, Arno reignited his engineering skills and started the company Makara Engineering.

Today Arno provides a wide range of services, including general engineering, welding, fencing, stock management, and more.
