Context  

The integration of Large Language Models (LLMs) with Big Data Analytics (BDA) presents unprecedented opportunities to optimize healthcare processes, democratize access to specialized healthcare, and reduce costs. LLMs can process and interpret vast amounts of medical literature, clinical notes, and unstructured health data, enabling more comprehensive insights and supporting clinical decision-making.

However, the concept of health extends beyond traditional medical settings. Environmental factors significantly impact public health, with policies focused on sustainability and environmental protection directly influencing community health outcomes. Areas with poor environmental management often show higher rates of respiratory diseases, allergies, and other environment-related health conditions. Additionally, contemporary understanding of health encompasses both physical and mental well-being, requiring holistic approaches to healthcare that address psychological aspects alongside physical symptoms.

This workshop focuses on cutting-edge developments from academia and industry, emphasizing the integration of LLMs with BDA to improve health and medicine. Particular attention will be given to methodologies and technologies that using LLM can correlate, learn, mine, interpret, and visualize data to enhance health and medical processes across various contexts - from clinical settings to environmental health monitoring and mental wellness applications.

This timely workshop will interest researchers, academics, and practitioners in big data processing, analytics, health, and medicine. It is especially relevant to the big data community, including those in data mining, machine learning, cyber-physical systems, and computational intelligence, providing a lively forum on this exciting and challenging area at the conference.

Research topics

The LLMBDA workshop aims to bring together researchers from academia, industry, government, and medical centers to present and improve the international state of the art and latest advances in this evolving domain. LLMBDA will cover both theoretical and practical aspects, as well as artificial intelligence technologies and tools supporting Big Data Analytics in biomedicine, healthcare, and holistic well-being. The workshop will address a wide spectrum of issues, from those aimed at supporting healthcare professionals' work to those devoted to improving patients' lives, including environmental health factors and mental well-being.

Paper Submission

Length of papers

Full paper: 8 pages

Short paper: 2 pages

Please submit a paper (up to 8 page IEEE 2-column format) through the online submission system (you can download the format instructions here (http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html).

All accepted papers will be included in the main conference proceedings, which are also included in the IEEE digital library, which is indexed by Google Scholar and Scopus.

Special Issues on important Journals are also planned.
